An overwhelming feeling always invade when the visitor arrives at the Cusco. This is due not only to its beautiful landscape, which combines an incredibly blue sky with white clouds and hills impressive, but above all its history. Through its intricate streets or in its impressive Plaza de Armas is impossible not to hear everything that this city wants to tell us. Few places in Peru have had a life more intense. This was the sacred capital of the Incas and the conquistadors Dorado, South America and heart of the baroque stage of the Great Rebellion. Not for nothing is the most precious treasure of Peru.
Cuzco, the archaeological capital of America was the main city of the Empire of Tahuantinsuyo, being considered by the Incas as the "Navel of the World." Today is the first resort of Peru and has been proclaimed by UNESCO as Cultural Patrimony of Humanity.
All in Cuzco is beautiful, because it contains all the legendary history of Peru, from its founding until the withdrawal of the Spanish conquistadors. Nearby there are important archaeological monuments as the Sacsayhuaman fortress, Q'enqo, Tambomachay Baths, platforms of Pisac, Ollantaytambo fortress and the unique buildings of Machu Picchu, on the banks of the Urubamba River, which was discovered in 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham, now known as the Citadel Millennial and "World Wonder"
The many museums and churches have done in Cuzco the center and most important tourist destination in Peru. Los Caminos del Inca ", which were used by ancient Peruvians to reach Machu Picchu, offer the possibility of finding innumerable Inca constructions that combine with nature, provide a comprehensive view of the grandeur and importance that had Machu Picchu.
